reporting to the R&D Global Director, Electronic Materials who is based in Shanghai.
The annual base salary can go up to NT$1.95 million
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Senior Research Chemist develops new cleaners/chemicals used to manufacture semiconductor IC, memory devices and flat panel displays.
DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:
1. Develops and characterizes the performance of new products.
2. Experimental designs and mechanism studies.
3. Collaborates with Applications Engineers and Sales to introduce the products into customer applications.
4. Leads joint development activities with external research firms.
5. Provides training on the use of the new products and methods.
6. Participates in technical and business strategy development.
7. Presents work at scientific meetings and trade shows.
Skills/Competencies:
Proficiency in electrochemistry including electrochemical, physical property measurements, skilled in wet etching or wet cleans a plus.
Sound knowledge of organic, inorganic and analytical
chemistries.
Knowledge of semiconductor or memory device fabrication processes
Innovation and creativity
The ability to develop innovative approaches to solving complex problems
Familiarity with the chemical and technical literature.
The ability to research the literature to understand past developments and to facilitate the development of original strategies.
The ability to conduct intellectual property reviews
The ability to identify industry trends in order to invent and develop novel and patentable chemistry and/or processes
The ability to independently design, conduct experiments and analyze the results of experiments.
The ability to clearly and effectively explain the experimental design, the results and the significance to the data.
Other Skills:
Good oral and written communication skills in English. |
