• Responsible for managing the simple to complex projects assigned to the Project Manager. Complex projects can be designed by cross-divisional / cross-functional teams at global locations.
• Responsible for the quotation of the Non Recurrent Engineering expenses, and managing the execution of the project(s) according to the agreed quotation.
• Responsible for the quotation of the Project Schedule, and managing the execution of the project(s) according to the agreed quotation.
• Driving overall product realization aspects of a project from the concept to End Of Life.
• Assisting in negotiating customer contracts (including Design Services Agreement)； assist Supply Chain Project Management with vendor contract negotiations as required.
• Organizing payment of NRE expenses.
• Managing product costs through Jabil’s Work-cell and Design SCPM or agreeing on alternate mechanism for doing so, and communicating this information to the customer.
• Planning Prototype and New Product Introduction builds for design projects, including organizing procurement activities and rework support as required.
• Ensuring all non-design operations activities have been addressed:
o Manufacturing test development and execution
o Manufacturing line & Work-cell capable or building volume product
o Repair and warranty services (if applicable)
• Ensuring all projects are managed in accordance with the Jabil Product Design Process.
o Develop, implement, and monitor overall project Risk Management Plan
o Defining/drafting the Statement Of Work.
• Issuing project management updates to internal and customer management.
• Functioning as main point-of-contact for managing Sustaining Engineering activities.
